About Me.

Welcome! I’m Jamie Lewis Smith, PhD. and I’m passionate about helping high-achieving professional women like you navigate the challenges of career, life, and well-being.

I know what it’s like to juggle the demands of a thriving career with the complexities of family life. As a business owner, speaker, and single mom to a special needs son, I’ve experienced firsthand the pressure that comes from trying to excel in every aspect of life. The feeling of burnout, the struggle to prioritize self-care, and the constant tension between professional ambitions and personal responsibilities — I’ve been there.

That’s why I founded Cognitive Shift Therapy and Consultation — to create a safe, supportive space for women who are high performers but often feel like they’re burning the candle at both ends. My goal is to help you shift your mindset, manage your stress, and build resilience so you can thrive both professionally and personally.

 

With a PhD in Clinical Psychology and years of experience as a leadership consultant and executive coach, I bring a unique blend of psychological expertise and practical strategies to the table. I know that healing and growth are not just about talking through problems — they’re about real, actionable steps that make a difference in your everyday life. My approach combines therapy and coaching, helping you address mental health challenges while also developing the tools you need to succeed and lead with confidence.

I’m not just a professional — I’m a woman who understands the balance (and the struggle) of trying to do it all. Through Cognitive Shift, I aim to give you the guidance and support to overcome burnout, regain control, and discover a path to living a more balanced and fulfilling life.
